Anybody using Photoscore professional? How do I get the first bar to
input when it is shorter than the allotted notes? i.e. 3/4 time and I
have to start with a one beat note?

I don't know Photoscore but, in Score Writer, I use rests before the
note to pad the bar out to the correct length.

Which version of Photoscore Professional? And into which program do you
want to import the NIFF file? And in which way does it currently fail?
Does Photoscore fail to recognise the anacrusis (aka upbeat), or does
the notation program you use fail to recognise the anacrusis when
importing from Photoscore?

According to their blurb, Photoscore 3.0 Professional will recognise an
anacrusis. OTOH, versions of Sibelius/Photoscore before 3.0 had
reportedly problems with upbeats.

I believe MOZART (<http://www.mozart.co.uk/>) will correctly read NIFF
files which contain an anacrusis since version 7.0.10; the current
version is 8 (aka 2005).

mines an older version than 3 so will resort to using rests I think.
